Taking care of your pewter gift

Your pewter gift will retain its lustrous finish with the minimum of care:

• If it has become dull, simply clean with a metal polish before you wash it.
• Always polish in straight lines for the best results.
• Wash it by hand in hot soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth

Caring or a Wentworth Pewter Flask

We make genuine British Pewter spirit flasks made by craftsmen by traditional methods using traditional materials.
Simple preparation and care of your fl ask will enhance your lasting enjoyment.
1. As you would any vessel intended to hold food or drink, wash your flask in hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly before filling with spirits, and again before each refilling.
After washing, polish the outside surfaces of the flask with a soft cloth to maintain the high polish.
2. Avoid storing spirits in your flask for periods in excess of 24 hours.
3. Do not fill your flask with effervescent ‘mixer’ drinks, either alone or mixed with spirits.
Following these procedures will ensure that your favourite ‘tipple’ remains in good condition and that your flask gives you many years of reliable service.
